Violet has started a conflict with a co-worker and has disrupted the office to such an extent that her boss has seen fit to fire her. Realizing she has overstepped the mark, Violet goes to her boss's house to speak to him about the matter in private. She tries to change his mind, but he maintains that she needs to go before other people in the office start resigning. When Violet becomes very desperate not to lose her position, the boss proposes a solution: If Violet is prepared to strip in front of him, he will let her stay and try to calm things down at work. Violet looks shocked and initially refuses. When the boss says she may as well leave then, Violet asks if this is the only way she gets to keep her job. When informed that it is, she relents and removes her skirt. This is just the start of her humiliation.
