Claire has traveled a long way to view an antique lamp that she badly wants, and she is the first of the bidders to inspect it. When the seller mentions the price he wants for it, however, Claire looks both uncomfortable and disappointed, because the lamp is way out of her price range. She asks the seller if there are any terms that he might agree to that would enable her to make the purchase. When he says he will sell it to her for half price if she is willing to strip for him, she is surprised and hesitates, but one more look at the lamp convinces her that the sacrifice is worth it, so she begins to undress.
