Hannah has been taken and held hostage in exchange for a ransom. While her captor awaits the outcome of his demands, Hannah is kept tied up in the basement of his house. When she sees that her captor has carelessly left a pair of cutters on the floor, she manages to free herself and makes a run for it. She gets to the man's car and begins searching for keys, only to discover that he is sitting in the back seat. He makes her go back to the basement, and in order to make it more difficult for her to escape, he her to undress in front of him before tying her up again, this time with duct tape stuck to her naked skin. He leaves poor Hannah helpless and vulnerable, struggling on the floor with little hope of making a second escape bid.
